I earned my master's degree in music education from Brigham Young University and learned quite a bit.  One of the best things, for me, was the development of a comprehensive process for teaching students to play well in every key.

An overview of the whole process can be found in the Music Literacy section of this web site as a downloadable PDF file.  Have a look and use it if it suits you.  I
n addition to carefully selected performance repetoire, I use the following instructional materials:

fingering charts (free download linked at left)
scale sheets (free download linked at left)
chorales in 12 major keys (not yet available)

As soon as I turn them all into PDF files, you'll be able to purchase a copyable PDF here for $30.00.  The chorales are denominationally non-specific and include the following:

Key
C
F
Bb
Eb
Ab
Db
Chorale
Just A Closer Walk With Thee
Rhosymedre
Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy
More Holiness Give Me
I Know of A Name
What A Friend We Have in Jesus
Key
Gb
B
E
A
D
G
Chorale
Guide Oh Thou Great Jehovah
Sweet Hour of Prayer
Panis Angelicus
All Glory, Laud and Honor
Breath of Life
Nearer My God to Thee

I anticipate having them ready for email delivery by February.

In the meantime, the B flat chorale - Brightly Beams our Father's Mercy and E flat chorale - More Holiness Give Me are available for free, along with a bonus Bb version of Just A Closer Walk with Thee.  Each chorale is designed to be copied back to back on a single sheet for the whole band and a full score version is included for the director.  They're enjoyable to play, handy as warm-ups, and teach key centers in an engaging way.  Give them - you might have fun.
